Richard Obeng Mensah is a Chevening Scholar and ALincubator Scholar. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from KNUST, Ghana. He also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Energy Law from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, United Kingdom; and a Certificate in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Human Rights in Africa from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
His PhD studies at KNUST is a great contribution to achieving energy security through renewable energy to abate climate change and enhance sustainable development. He is a Fellow of the Brew-Hammond Energy Centre (TBHEC) at KNUST. Currently, he serves as an Environmental Law adviser for the Rights of Nature Ghana Movement (RONAG). He is also a Law Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, KNUST.
Richard is the Assistant Editor of the KNUST Law Journal and also serves as a peer review for several journals within and outside Ghana. He is a lawyer with over 13 years of experience in private practice. Richard is also a pastor, a blogger, and an award-winning prolific writer, having authored 11 books (including 4 co-authored) and over 250 varied publications. His research interests include energy and natural resources, environmental governance and sustainable development, artificial intelligence and law, intellectual property rights, comparative law, and good governance.
